Welcome to Blue Coat CEVA Primary School. We are a thriving school set in the picturesque Cotswold town of Wotton under Edge. We pride ourselves on being a school in and of our community, where the children are placed firmly at the heart of everything that we do. Our vision is "future readiness", which means that we aim to empower children as learners and individuals to be prepared for their future lives.
Our children enjoy a rich and varied curriculum that is based around their individual needs. We are proud of the high standards that we set and of the fun and enthusiasm that children show each and every day. Our large and beautiful grounds enable us to extend the curriculum beyond the classroom making learning memorable.

- Blue Coat News aims to provide a platform for our students to express their creativity, share their thoughts and ideas, and keep the school community informed about events, achievements, and important updates.
- We are delighted to announce that we were assessed as Platinum, the highest grade given for a third time. We were further awarded OPAL’s highest accolade in being given their Honours Award.
- Reception pupils have been congratulated by Gloucester Diocesan Schools for completing the Young Leaders Award (Archbishop of York Youth Trust). Listen to an interview with our RE lead reflecting on how the Award helps our pupils be ‘future ready’.
- Over the summer holidays The Keepers hosted Stroud District Council's Travelling Kitchen. Local primary-aged children came along to learn some kitchen skills and sample what they made! Thanks to The Keepers for this great activity. It was a lot of fun.

Dress as Bugs To launch our new unit of learning for our final summer term ‘Minibeast Mayhem’, we’d like to invite your child/ren to dress up with a minibeast theme on MONDAY 2nd JUNE. (This is our first day back after half term) This can be full dressing up costume or simply a t-shirt, dress, or pyjamas with bugs on it. You may have a hat, headband, mask or deely-boppers which are insect themed. You could get creative and make your own for example a red t-shirt with spots on or a yellow t-shirt with black stripes and a pair black shorts. We have included a few ideas to spark your imagination!
