Welcome Message

We aspire to live life in all its fullness (John 10:10) and to enable others to do the same. (Matthew 22: 37-39)

Welcome to Blue Coat CEVA Primary School.  We are a thriving school set in the picturesque Cotswold town of Wotton under Edge.  We pride ourselves on being a school in and of our community, where the children are placed firmly at the heart of everything that we do.  Our vision is "future readiness", which means that we aim to empower children as learners and individuals to be prepared for their future lives.

Our children enjoy a rich and varied curriculum that is based around their individual needs.  We are proud of the high standards that we set and of the fun and enthusiasm that children show each and every day.  Our large and beautiful grounds enable us to extend the curriculum beyond the classroom making learning memorable.

We hope that you enjoy learning more about our school by exploring our website.  However, the best way to find out about what makes Blue Coat special is to arrange a visit in order to see for yourself.

Class Opportunity Make your own lunch DT Morning03Apr2025

9:00 am - 12:00 pm @ Blue Coat CEVA Primary School

Our DT topic this half term has been to design and make a healthy packed lunch. We have talked about healthy eating; looked at the different food groups and then the children have designed their own lunch. Next week, we will make our packed lunches in school. Class Opportunity will be making theirs on Thursday morning (3rd April) Hopefully your child has brought home the list of ingredients that they will need to bring in on their day. They will also need to bring in a container/plate to store their lunch in. We will be making the lunches in the morning so that the children can eat them at lunchtime so if your child normally has a school dinner, they will not require one on that day. Some children were absent from school when we designed our packed lunches so I have attached the PowerPoint and relevant worksheets so that they can design theirs at home and bring in the ingredients on the relevant day. We will be providing chopping boards and knives but if your child requires other equipment such as cutlery to eat their lunch with or a cheese grater please could they bring them in. Please note that we don’t have the facilities to cook food in school so anything such as pasta or rice will need to be cooked at home and brought in.
